Open-Meteo forecast at summit elevation, refreshed every 6 hours. The full product scores hundreds of resorts at three elevations.
Strike missions, for snow.
Surfers fly to swells. Powder hunters should fly to storms. Forecasts are good enough at 10 days to book the trip, and almost nobody is using them that way.
Watch
We track 10-day snowfall, freezing level, and wind at summit, mid, and base for hundreds of resorts across both hemispheres.
Score
Every resort gets one powder score: fresh centimetres, snow quality by temperature, wind-hold risk, bluebird odds.
Strike
When a window crosses your threshold you get an alert with flight options. Book Tuesday, ride waist-deep Friday.
Built for the chase
Powder Score
One number that blends fresh snowfall, snow quality, wind, and visibility. No more juggling six forecast tabs the night before you book.
Strike Alerts
Set your threshold once. We email you only when a resort you can actually reach is about to go off.
Flight Windows
Every alert pairs the storm with flight options from your home airport, timed to land you there for the reset.
Freezing Level Intel
A summit dump can be base rain. We score three elevations per resort, so you know what you are really flying into.
Powder forecasting and snow alerts, answered
What is Powder Mission?+
Powder Mission is a powder forecast and snow alert tool for skiers and snowboarders. It scores the 10-day snow forecast at ski resorts worldwide, so you can see where the best conditions are shaping up and book a trip to score fresh powder before the storm lands.
How does Powder Mission find the best snow?+
It pulls forecast snowfall, freezing level, temperature, and wind for hundreds of ski resorts, then scores each one for powder quality. Instead of checking a dozen snow reports every morning, you get a single ranked list of where it is about to dump.
Which ski resorts does it cover?+
Major resorts across both hemispheres, from Japan and North America to the Alps, the Andes, and New Zealand. Niseko, Whistler, Jackson Hole, Chamonix, Verbier and Valle Nevado are all in, with more added before launch.
How far ahead can you forecast powder?+
Up to 10 days. Big snowstorms are often predictable enough a week or more out to book flights with confidence, which is the whole point: chase the storm instead of hoping your already-booked week delivers.
How is it different from other snow forecast apps?+
Most snow apps show you the forecast for a resort you already picked. Powder Mission works backwards: it finds the resort with the best forecast and pairs it with flights from your home airport, so you plan the trip around the powder instead of the other way round.
Is Powder Mission free, and when does it launch?+
It launches for the 2026/27 winter season, and early access is free for everyone on the waitlist. Join the list to be first in when it goes live.
